I have Arma2 Combined Ops, with @CBA. After installing RTE, and running Arma from it, I get the following message: Addon Extended Event Handlers requires Alice2 Module, which means that its aint loading my @CBA. Also If it aint loading CBA it aint loading the other mods either.

I´ve installed RTEditor via mod folders and ran through -mod, but then I cannot export anything, since the Arma2 wasnt loaded via RTE Capture launch feature.

Is there a work around, a launch config file where I can also load in other @Mods?

Does it happen all the time?
Does it happens too if you run it from a trigger?

That problem can be caused by missing write rights.
From Windows Vista up, programs aren't allowed to write in the program files.
But that's a place for addons and RTE Capture tries it.
To avoid this problem tell RTE Capture a place where it can write, then manual copy the files into the a2 folder.

Jonas thank you pout your answer.

I have followed you're advice (use v5 online installer) I have no error but I still do not have the addon @ RTEditor in:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ ArmA 2
The addon JayArma2lib & CBA are checked and added to the shortcut in the profile no worries on that side either.
I added the folder @ RTEditor myself but as it is empty, the prog does not see it.

Sorry I'm new to all these questions.

thank you in advance

Here is how I got it to work again:
- I have jayArma2Lib installed
- In RTE Capture my profile points to arma2oa.exe and I have jayArma2Lib in the command line of course but I also have RTE Capture DLL active
- I start the game via RTE Capture
- In game start RTE which takes a couple of seconds to load. The status is not connected untill you are in RTE
- Then via projects I can save and load again

Export is currently broken.
This happens since the module wasn't reworked but the rest has changed.
It is easy to release a version which fixed module where you can save the xml-file, but you won't have any visual of the file.

Glad you took the time to update RTECapture once more,

unfortunatelly, this release breaks the program for me. I cannot export anything when running RTECapture, and ArmA2: Combined Operations. The program is connected, though (through JayArma2Lib). I run CBA, of course.

Additionally, when I load a XML file and switch from the tree view (looking perfectly normal) to the SQF tab, the result is scrambled, very short and makes no sense anymore.

Help me please.

You state the following:
/************************************/
The last script value is _out, so if someone someone will call KRON_StrUpper, it will return _out:

1.
_lower = ["AbCdEfG"] call KRON_StrUpper;

_lower will contain "abcdefg".
/************************************/

Am I misunderstanding the code in the "KRON_StrUpper" function? I'd expect to get "ABCDEFG" as a return value...?!

A twist on this is if you've used the -profile=... startup parameter when launching ArmA 2. In that case, -mod=DoesntExist will cause ArmA II to look for addons in the folder Users\%USERNAME%\DoesntExist\addons below the indicated -profile path. (%USERNAME% is the name of your Windows user)

Example: let's say your Windows username is "johndoe" and you launch ArmA II with

"-profile=D:\Games\ArmA 2" -mod=DoesntExist

This will make ArmA II look for addons in

D:\Games\ArmA 2\Users\johndoe\DoesntExist\addons

one question regarding the use of RTE in multiplayer,

we on 6thSense are using a mission-generator. But to place specific units or objects we are using the rte. So my question is how can i re-import stuff in order to shorten the preparation time or enable a re-playable mission.
In Arma 1 you had to have Armalib afaik. Is it even possible in ArmA2?

If somebody has an answer, please let me know

If you're talking about Armed Assault, simple use ArmAlib and keep RTE Capture in the background.

If you use ArmA 2 you need to be more descriptive about your problem.

Can confirm this. That way seems to be buggy.

To check if RTE has found RTE Capture:
On the top right in RTE will be a "projects" button. If this one is missing, then there is no connection to RTE Capture.

RTE has to be closed when you activate monitoring.

But since activate monitoring doesn't work at the moment:
Create a profile inside RTE Capture (Options->Profile). Make sure that "Use RTE Capture DLL" is checked.
Then use this profile to run ArmA. RTE Capture will then try to establish the connection itself.
