RTE Capture Manual

Permalink 09/03/09 02:20, by jonas, Categories: RTE

First run:

snap1042

snap1044
snap1045

On the first run of RTE Capture, you'll get welcomed by a wizard. During the the wizard, you'll ask for the location of Armed Assault and ArmA II. Please check if the paths are valid.
As next step RTE Capture will download and install the RTE.

At the end of the wizard, you have the option to continue to edit the profiles. This is recommended!

See the profiles-pages for more details.

MichaelI am getting frustrated over quite a simple thing...How do I simply save my mission? I have RTE Capture open. I activate monitoring. I go back into Arma 2, and export it, but in Arma2 it just says "RTE Capture not open" or something.

jonasCan confirm this. That way seems to be buggy.

To check if RTE has found RTE Capture:
On the top right in RTE will be a "projects" button. If this one is missing, then there is no connection to RTE Capture.

RTE has to be closed when you activate monitoring.

But since activate monitoring doesn't work at the moment:
Create a profile inside RTE Capture (Options->Profile). Make sure that "Use RTE Capture DLL" is checked.
Then use this profile to run ArmA. RTE Capture will then try to establish the connection itself.

jonasIf you're talking about Armed Assault, simple use ArmAlib and keep RTE Capture in the background.

If you use ArmA 2 you need to be more descriptive about your problem.

RexI followed your instructions after these fellows described their problem. To no avail. Yes, the RTE capture box was checked.
I am trying to run ArmaII and have the path correct etc.

The potential of this project is great if only we could save our work. Is there a fix??

STRI have Arma2 Combined Ops, with @CBA. After installing RTE, and running Arma from it, I get the following message: Addon Extended Event Handlers requires Alice2 Module, which means that its aint loading my @CBA. Also If it aint loading CBA it aint loading the other mods either.

I´ve installed RTEditor via mod folders and ran through -mod, but then I cannot export anything, since the Arma2 wasnt loaded via RTE Capture launch feature.

Is there a work around, a launch config file where I can also load in other @Mods?

STRNever mind the previous problem, I created a profile. But then I came to the same problem the others are experiencing. I cannot export cause the monitor status is Inactive.

egg651Whenever I try and create a profile the program just becomes unresponsive. A shame, this looked cool. (Running Win 7 Ultimate 54 Bit, ATI Radeon 4870, Intel Q6600)

Any help would be appreciated!
